Car shows aren’t just for sticking your head under a hood! Like Miss Daisy, some of us prefer to arrive in style wearing our Sunday best, so put on your Driving Miss Daisy finery (hats strongly encouraged, gloves optional) & stroll the red carpet with your friends as you head down Main Street in Bay Harbor to Chatham House.
You will gather for a “tea” with petite savory & sweet delicacies (tea sandwiches, scones, small cakes, iced tea & adult rose-y type beverages) at the beautiful Chatham House located just across the street from the harbor. As a further delight, we will be getting a first glimpse of the beautiful Lilly Pulitzer fashions from Rebeccas Fashions & Accessories which will be modeled throughout the lunch. Finally, a sash will be awarded to the woman with the best presentation & will be declared the winner of the First Annual
Driving Miss Daisy Tea. The winner will be photographed in one of the elegant vintage cars.
If walking the red carpet feels more like walking the plank, come to cheer on the participants & join them for a special tea party with all of the elegant touches that will make it a memorable occasion. Lunch attendees are not required to wear a hat. A limited number of tickets will be available, so put yourself into gear and let us know you’ll be attending...please don’t miss out on this fun opportunity. All attendees will also take home a small gift as our appreciation for your support.
Tickets are $50 available at www.bayharborcarandboatfestival.com
Those who would like to stroll the red carpet should gather in the lobby at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts 800 Bay Harbor Drive at 11:30am where further details will be given. Don’t worry about stage fright, you do not have to walk alone...you can go with a friend or in a group! Guests not wishing to participate in the walk are encouraged to stand along the red carpet and cheer on the group. Chatham House will be open to welcome you at noon.
